Thanks, everyone, for the great ideas for a fictional taxi company in Christchurch. Here’s the shortlist: vote for your favourite in the sidebar poll:
1. 4 Avenues Taxis – a knowledgeable suggestion from Kiwi
2. All Black Cabs – not quite top in alphabetical listings, Koowarla, but a great name
3. Avon Ladies – an all-female cab company thought up by Gillian (love this one!)
4. Ha Kas – more rugby, from BookAddictus
5. Kiwi Cabs – from ResQgeek (in honour of Kiwi?!)
6. Waka Witch – from discoverylover, in honour of Lytteltonwitch
7. Wizard Whizzers – a reference to the Christchurch Wizard (and the cupcake) from Bibliomane

The vote for a slogan for Grazp is currently tied between “Grazp a younger you!” and “Grazp the secret of inner beauty” so we’re going to leave it open a little longer. Vote now for your favourite slogan.

We’re making good progress on episode 4 – take a look at the animatic to see where we’re at.
As we’re making the computer models to go in the episode, we think about all the little details. Here’s another one you can help us with. Once our heros get to Grazp’s office in Christchurch, Aileen and Watson sneak into the building while Lyn and Kyle wait outside in a taxi, listening in.
The question is: can you think of a suitable taxi company?

In the last episode, Otto Dafé’s taxi to Cedar Rapids was owned by “Tree Fast Cars” (Cedar Rapids – Tree Fast, geddit?). This led to “Four Fast Cars” for Aileen’s taxi, getting in another instance of the number four. (Oh, and the number for Otto’s cab is 1481, the year of the first Spanish auto de fé, while Aileen’s cab is 150, in honour of Arthur Conan Doyle’s bithday.)
It’s great fun to play games with props and scenery! We love embedding clues, puns and references in the background.
If you can think of a good name for the taxi company in Christchurch, leave us a comment.

Here at Binary Fable this week we’re making props and sets for episode 4.
First up: we need to design a website for Grazp Pharmaceuticals. You can still vote to decide whether the dino footprint is the company’s logo – the poll’s in the sidebar. Once the logo’s decided, what about a strapline? We’ve used “Reaching out for you” in Grazp’s bus adverts. But, I think Grazp could do with a new slogan.

So, what would be the perfect strapline for this evil multinational corporation – a pharmaceuticals company that will destroy books to protect its profits? Let us have your ideas…
