We’re going to leave the big story selection poll up a little longer – so, get your votes in quickly to help decide what will be in episode 6.
At the moment, the story with the most votes is Meg‘s suggestion that Kyle asks Aileen out. You’re clearly a bunch of romantics! We know that Aileen has a secret soft spot for Kyle so there’s a reasonable chance she might say yes.
So – where would Kyle take Aileen on their first date? Give us your suggestion by leaving a comment, please!

OOOoooOh! maybe they can go Sand Surfing in Cape Town. Or a sweets factory to watch cupcakes being decorated. Better yet, the wilderness of Madagascar, where there are rumors of other Ikhata-like happenings, ready for another wild adventure together…..
How about a visit to the cinema to see The Secret of Kells followed by cup cakes in a really good café? Kyle strikes me (after 30 seconds of screen time…) as a romantic fellow who’ll do his best to give Eileen a great evening but without applying too much pressure, so no grand gestures at this early stage. Baby steps of perfection.
Caroline – that’s pretty much Binary Fable‘s perfect night out. Maybe we can double-date with Aileen and Kyle?!

If they were in London they could go to the Natural History Museum and look at the huge dinosaur skeleton in the foyer. But for a first date travelling to the other end of Britain sounds a bit unrealistic.
I think they both would enjoy a date which was a walk to either Arthur’s seat or Salisbury Crags, where they can have a picnic packed to perfection by Kyle. Watson would like this idea because he could go along too and supervise.
I do like this idea! Wearealldoomed, how am I going to keep a nose on Kyle if he whisks Aileen away for an exciting adventure in Madagascar? I smell a rat.
hehehehe….. well, you are going to have to share her eventually, Watson! and not rat. Chinchilla. Cross between a rabbit and a cat. The natural history museum sounds awesome, will they let dogs inside though?
On the Natural History Museum website it states “The cloakroom offers a secure place to leave your dog with attendants .” I think this only applies to guide dogs though, although I would have thought a person with a guide dog would utilise it while visiting the museum.
Or we could suspend belief and let Watson in anyway. After all he managed to travel from Scotland to America and New Zealand without any issues about quarantine coming up.

just to clarify my rather ambigous sentence in the above post it should read…
I think this only applies to guide dogs though, although I would have thought a person with a guide dog would need the dog while visiting the museum.
Hmm… would you accept whale bones instead of dino bones, Kiwi and Wearealldoomed? If we moved the location of Kyle’s perfect picnic to The Meadows in Edinburgh they could go along Jawbone Walk. The big bones would make Watson happy, and then he can run around and fetch sticks in the park.

Mmmmm – is The Meadows exciting/romantic enough for a date?…and either it’s lovely weather and very crowded or it’s wet and you can’t sit on the grass…I would go with the spectacular views from Arthur’s Seat/Salisbury Crags – picnic, and the sun starting to set over Edinburgh…then down to the Sheep Heid in Duddingston, the oldest pub in Scotland.
Looks as if we’re not going to agree a single option here… so we’ve put the best suggestions in a poll. Vote now for your favourite!
(By the way, the Sheep Heid Inn found out about BookCrossing through The Lost Book project and now has a BookCrossing shelf in the pub! Worth a visit to pick up – or drop off – a book if you’re in the area.)
