We have a cupcake winner – and it’s acupcakery!
Our judges were Sam and Jemma from London cupcake specialists Crumbs and Doilies. They say: “We love the thought that’s gone into it and the effort that’s gone into making the grass, headstone and hand – a terrifyingly terrific cupcake!”
Congratulations, acupcakery! We’ll be making a virtual cupcake based on your design, and it’ll feature in episode 3 of The Lost Book.
We’ve also chosen a second-placed cupcake: the Christchurch Wizard cake by LittleMissCupcakeParis. Sam and Jemma say: “we love the use of elements of the story that LittleMissCupcakeParis’s used and echoed in the decoration, and we had great fun finding out about the Christchurch Wizard.” So, congratulations LittleMissCupcakeParis! We’re going to try to get both cupcakes into episode 3.
Thanks to everyone who took part, and special thanks to Sam, Jemma and Crumbs and Doilies. Did you know, Crumbs and Doilies now have a facebook group you can join? And, you can see their amazing cupcakes on their blog or flickr photostream. And, don’t forget you can win free cupcakes in their cupcake-naming competition! That’s free cupcakes!

Congratulations to acupcakery and LittleMissCupcakeParis – it was great fun judging the entries and we’ll look forward to seeing Episode 3 next week!
Thank you we are looking forward to seeing what comes next!
Thank you so much — I am very honored to be your runner-up cupcake and a huge congrats to Lyns at acupcakery on her awesome-looking winning cupcake! I’d be thrilled to see mine in animation too but will be following along anyway – I’m a convert. :)
I have to say, I’m seriously looking forward to modelling these cupcakes in our 3D software. After spending time on rather more prosaic props and sets (is it any wonder I embed potential clues in the railings?) it’ll be brilliant fun to makes some cakes!
sam and jemma are the best at makeing them
